Referral Programme

Rytinco’s Referral Programme lets you earn commissions when people you refer upgrade to a paid plan. Share your unique referral link, and when a new workspace upgrades, you earn a percentage of their plan value.

  1. Get your referral code — Every Rytinco user receives a unique referral code. Find yours in Settings → Referrals.
  2. Share your link — Share your personalised referral link with friends, colleagues, or your audience.
  3. They sign up and upgrade — When someone uses your link to sign up and later upgrades their workspace to a paid plan, a conversion is recorded.
  4. You earn a commission — Your commission is calculated as a percentage of the monthly plan price of the tier they chose.
  5. Get paid — After a 30-day hold period, your earnings become payable and are paid out via manual EFT once the minimum threshold is reached.
  1. Log in to Rytinco and navigate to Settings.
  2. Select Referrals from the settings menu.
  3. Your referral code and shareable link are displayed at the top of the page.
  4. Click Copy Link to copy your full referral URL to your clipboard.

You can replace the default auto-generated code with a custom alias:

  1. Go to Settings → Referrals.
  2. In the Your Code section, enter your preferred code.
  3. Click Save.

Code rules:

  • 3–32 characters long.
  • Only letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores.
  • Must be unique — if someone else has it, you’ll need to pick another.
  • Profanity and reserved words are blocked.

Your referral link looks like:

https://app.rytinco.com?ref=YOUR_CODE

You can share it anywhere:

  • Social media posts
  • Email signatures
  • Blog articles
  • Direct messages
  • QR codes (create a Qlink pointing to your referral URL!)

Tip: You can also append UTM parameters for tracking where your referrals come from:

https://app.rytinco.com?ref=YOUR_CODE&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social

Your referral dashboard shows six key metrics:

MetricDescription
ClicksNumber of times your referral link was clicked
SignupsNumber of new users who signed up through your link
Paid ConversionsNumber of workspaces that upgraded to a paid plan
Pending (R)Commission amount currently in the 30-day hold period
Payable (R)Commission amount that has cleared the hold and is ready for payout
Paid (R)Total commission amount already paid out to you
  • Default rate: 80% of the monthly plan price.
  • The commission is based on the full monthly tier price — not a pro-rated first-payment amount.
  • Specific plan tiers may have different rates, configured by Rytinco.

If someone upgrades to a plan that costs R199/month and the rate is 80%:

Commission = R199 × 80% = R159.20

Each commission goes through these stages:

StatusMeaning
Pending HoldConversion recorded; 30-day hold period has started
PayableHold period elapsed; commission is available for payout
Included in PayoutCommission assigned to a payout batch
PaidPayment completed via EFT
ReversedCommission clawed back due to refund or chargeback
BlockedCommission disqualified due to policy violation
  • Method: Manual EFT (bank transfer).
  • Minimum threshold: R500 — your payable balance must reach at least R500 before a payout is processed.
  • Hold period: 30 days from the conversion date.
  • Processing: Payouts are reviewed and processed by the Rytinco finance team.
  • Notification: You’ll receive an email when your payout is completed, including the amount and bank reference.

When someone clicks your referral link, the first-touch attribution model applies:

  • The first referral link that brings a user in gets the credit.
  • Attribution is stored at the workspace level and lasts for 30 days.
  • If the attribution window expires before an upgrade, no commission is earned.

During the upgrade payment flow, workspace admins can enter a different referral code:

  1. On the payment page, look for the Referral Code section.
  2. Enter a valid referral code and click Apply.
  3. The new code replaces the original attribution for this upgrade.

This is useful when a workspace was originally found through one channel but is upgrading because of a different referrer’s recommendation.

To keep the programme fair, the following rules apply:

  • Self-referral — You cannot refer your own workspace.
  • Same organisation — You cannot earn from a workspace you are a member of.
  • Same payer — The referrer and the person paying for the upgrade cannot be the same user.
  • Reused payment methods across many referred workspaces.
  • High overlap of IP addresses or devices.
  • Excessive rapid conversions from newly created accounts.

Flagged activity is reviewed manually. Blocked commissions will show as Blocked in your history.

If a referred workspace receives a refund or files a chargeback:

  • The related commission is reversed.
  • If the commission was already paid out, a negative carry is applied to your account — your future payable balance is reduced until the amount is recovered.
  • Reversed commissions appear in your history with the Reversed status.

Referral credit only applies to the first paid upgrade of a workspace. If a workspace already upgraded before, your referral won’t earn a commission on that workspace.

Section titled “What if someone uses my link but doesn’t upgrade right away?”

Attribution lasts for 30 days. If they upgrade within that window, you’ll receive credit.

After the 30-day hold period, your commission becomes payable. Payouts are processed when your balance reaches at least R500 and are completed via manual EFT.

Yes! Use UTM parameters in your referral link to track sources in your dashboard. Your click and conversion history will show the source information.

What happens to my earnings if someone cancels?

Section titled “What happens to my earnings if someone cancels?”

If a refund is processed within the hold period, the commission is removed. If it’s already been paid, a negative carry is applied to future earnings.
